Cookie policy
Version
This policy explains the cookies and similar browser storage the Sovren Operator Pass site uses, what each one is for and how long it lasts. It is part of our privacy policy, which explains how we handle the information involved. The site is run by Sovren Technologies Inc, a Nevada corporation.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep, so the site can recognise your browser on a later request. Some cookies are needed for a site to work. Others help the site owner understand how the site is used.
2. Cookies that are needed for the site to work
These cookies are set by our own site. Each one is signed by our server, so it cannot be changed or forged, and none of them can be read by scripts on the page.
Session cookie (__Host-sovren_session). Keeps you signed in and links your browser to your entry. Before you sign in, it lasts one hour and only ties the trip to X and back to your browser. After you sign in with X, it lasts 30 days. Signing out deletes it.
Referral cookie (__Host-sovren_landing). Set only when you arrive through a link that carries a referral (?r=), a creator code (?code=) or campaign tags (utm_). It remembers the first such link you arrived through and when, so the right person gets credit when you claim your pass. A later link does not replace what it already holds. It lasts 30 days from your first visit.
Staff cookie (__Host-sovren_staff). Used only by Sovren staff signing in to the staff panel. It lasts 12 hours. Visitors never receive it.
Without these cookies you cannot sign in, claim a pass or receive referral credit. Because they are needed to give you the service you ask for, they do not depend on consent.
3. Analytics cookies
When analytics is switched on for the site, an analytics service measures visits for us. It sets two first-party cookies: _ga, which tells one browser from another, and _ga_ followed by the site's measurement id, which keeps track of the current visit. Each lasts up to two years from your last visit.
The analytics service receives the page you view, how you arrived and an approximate location. It does not receive your name, X handle, email address, wallet address or pass number, and it does not store your IP address. Advertising and personalisation features are switched off.
The analytics service is never loaded:
- for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland;
- on the sign-in round trip with X;
- on the staff pages.
4. Wallet connection storage
If you choose to connect a mobile wallet by scanning a code, the wallet connection keeps the details of that connection in your browser's local storage while you are connected. Wallet browser extensions keep their own storage under their own terms. We do not read either for any other purpose.
5. Other sites
When you sign in with X or join our Discord server, you are on X's or Discord's site, and their cookies and policies apply there. Sites linked from ours, such as Triton Cloud and the node-sales site, set their own cookies under their own policies.
6. Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings, and most browsers let you block cookies for a single site. If you block the session cookie, you cannot sign in or take part. If you block the referral cookie, a referral link you followed will not be credited. Blocking the analytics cookies does not affect the giveaway.
7. Changes and contact
If we add, remove or change a cookie, we update this page with a new date. Questions go to privacy@sovrentech.io.
